Stuart Langley’s Beating Heart was one of the (many) highlights of Middlesbrough Art Weekender in 2021, showing that there’s life in those old brutalist buildings yet.
The light installation was visible from the otherwise abandoned Church House during the festival: a fantastic way to use an old building.
And better news still is that the installation will now be permanent.
