Victoria Brailsford’s “Tugboat” was installed next to the Transporter Bridge in 1991. One of a series of pieces commissioned as part of Marking the Ways – an initiative to create permanent craftworks along the Teesdale Way (developed by Cleveland Arts, Cleveland County Council and Northern Arts).

More recently, Brailsford also created (along with Ant Macari) the Teesdale Viewmarkers, a series of sculptures which mark iconic views in Teesdale.
