Ladle of Steel (Middlesbrough, Steve Tomlinson, 2005)

Steve Tomlinson’s Ladle of Steel is one of A66 Gateway sculptures at the entrance to South Tees Business Parks. The dramatic piece represents molten metal being poured from a “floating” ladle.

Originally placed in May 2005, the sculpture celebrates the industrial heritage of the area and is located on Middlesbrough Road roundabout on the A66, South Bank.
